Hi everyone, I have had my 2 boys who are 9-10 weeks old for 4 days now and have never had piggies before so was wondering if the different colouring of them have particular names or is it literally black white n brown etc? probably a very silly question i know

The top boy is a tri-colour and the second boy might be a silver agouti but its hard to tell.

The top boy is a tort (black and tan) and white and the lower one is lemon agouti (?), cream and white.

I must admit that I am not expert when it comes to agouti shades.

thanks for your reply :) very interesting and fancy names. may look up the agouti shades then to get myself a bit more clued up. his fur definitely is more course than Rocky's, his is very soft. and he is slightly more chunky too x

I've replied on your other thread, but the agouti shades depend on the colour of the undercoat.

Black-based is lemon agouti, and chocolate-based is cream agouti (which makes more sense as the ticking is on a lemon agouti is actually cream). Then you have golden agouti (which is the same regardless of it's base colour), and silver agouti.

There's also the argente's - which are pink eyed - so you can have lilac argente's (white hair with lilac ticking), beige argente's (white hair with beige ticking) and lilac/gold argente's (lilac hair, gold ticking)...I can't think of any other variations off the top of my head :)
