I feel a bit cheeky asking for advice as I have not posted for so long!
I think George is on her way to "The Bridge" she was very quiet this morning and has spent the day in and out of a very deep sleep, I am sure she is not in pain, but I have just checked her and she has gone onto her side and her breathing has slowed down, I have wrapped her in a fluffy towel, I am sure I read somewhere that I should leave her with her friend as they like to say goodbye...is that right? She is due her 9th birthday at the end of the month so she has had a wonderful life, I was just wondering if there is anything else I can do to make her more comfortable...xx

Hi there,

Sorry to hear George is going to the bridge. Perhaps make sure she's warm and comfortable, as long as you think she's not in pain then leave her be. I'm sure she wouldn't mind a cuddle as she makes her way. Thinking of you x

I agree that an old lady who isn't in obvious pain or distress is probably best left in the warm with her friend to pass away peacefully.

I'm sorry to hear this. What a wonderfully good innings tho. I would just make sure shes wrapped up warm. Either with her friend or in your arms. So long as her friend can say goodbye when shes passed.

Thinking of you. Its such a horrible time.

Wow what a fantastic age for a piggie I am sure she has had a fabulous life.

As long as she is comfy, give her a cuddle/stroke and I am sure she would like to be with her friends. Maybe you could sit with them all.

Thinking of you x

I am sorry that it is time for George to leave. Please let her be with her friends. She still feels how much she is still loved!

When my Dizzy was dying and in a similar deep sleep, her previous owner with whom she shared a deep bond of love felt it, even though Dizzy had been with me for over two years and had a happy new life with an adoring "hubby" who was diligently standing guard over her.

I hope that this little episode will comfort you a bit.

My thoughts are with you.

Georgie passed peacefully in her sleep late last night with her ever loyal friend Mog at her side, we had nearly nine wonderful years together and I feel like she has taken a little piece of my heart with her, she was an absolute joy, and made me laugh every day.....Georgie it was a privilige to have had you in my life.....love always xx

Awww, brought a tear to my eye <3
Rest in peace beautiful piggy.
When my Angel passed away in june last year, i held her in my arms as she was living on her own anyway. She had a lump on her shoulder, and she was only 5/6 yrs.
