I noticed last night that one of my older girls was losing hair by her bum it looked dry and itchy I called the vet today and she said it sounded like mites so she told me to bathe them all in insecticidle shampoo then put mite drops on them which I picked up from them today I've also cleaned out and sprayed all there hut with a mite spray is there anything else I should do or could do?

Did the vet actually see her? As it is very easy to say 'yeah it's mites' when you tell someone there is hairloss, where it could be a number of things.

Presuming she did, I presume the mite stuff is Xeno 450, in which case it came in a pipette type thingy

You will need to repeat this in 10 days, then again in 10 days, for all pigs that live with her and you may want to do any others just in case.

I have never bathed for mites, the Xeno is pretty much like mite nuclear warfare. However if the infestation is bad an ivermectin jab may be necessary

If the vet DIDN'T see her, she should be seen before any treatment is commenced as you could be treating unnecessarily/for the wrong thing
