heya, so I adopted arthur and oblivion back in march this year, i was told when I adopted them that they were around 8 months old (similar age to colossus and nemy at the time,) however oblivion has always been a fair bit smaller than the others. I've just been noticing lately they are starting to bicker a little bit - nothing concerning yet I've removed doorways and things they can block to bully each other so hoping to neutralise it early. But I am wondering if they weren't that old when I got them as I have had them nearly 8 months myself I am wondering if they are just entering the teenage stage as it was at 9 months that I had to separate colossus and nemesis from each other and i really don't want to have to split these two it would upset me greatly.

I usually go by their nails, as they get older at about 1.5 years they start to get thicker and curl, younger piggies tend to have thin straight sharp nails.

I go by their nails and so does my friend who runs the piggy clinic in Broxbourne. We thought Barley was a year old as that is what the rescue thought but she took one look at his nails and said he is 6 months maximum.

oooo thats cool thanks guys, If i post a pic of their nails reckon you could make a rough guess for me? even if it is just whether or not they are over or under a year old? you will have to excuse the length they still aren't trusting enough to let me at them with clippers and I don't like to push the relationship lol

The rescue I got mine from guessed their age from the size of their testicles! She said they were huge (they neutered them so I did not see the enormous testicles).
