Hi

I have just been looking at different types of hay, and just come to a realisation that i try and buy uk veg and fruit, meat etc etc Alpine surely is not uk, oxbow comes from the states. Which are the good uk grown and produced hay?

with regards to carbon footprint surely we grow enough grass in this green country?

If you want good uk-grown hay, go to your local stables and they will sell you some fresh hay (uk grown). They usually produce it themselves. Mainly riding schools though and it is only £3 a bale from my stables so it could be the same for you.

You never said that though ? It will save you a tonn anyway

I agree buy in bales now as it saves so much. One bale will last my 4 pigs and 4 rabbits over a month :)) I normally get them for free but if I pay then its about £3-£5 :D All local grown :))

Hi pampered piggies has some at the moment which is grown in Somerset.

I got some this week from them and it is fantastic. I normally buy oxbow but my piggies seem to love this even more. It is really green & smells great! :)
