Nellie is a very poorly piggy at the moment and needs hand feeding, but she is really resisting the syringe, despite being wrapped up like a little burrito. I've never had a piggy who was so difficult to syringe-feed! (I am also a little concern about holding her too firmly because she is in pain, and also had fluids injected into her neck)

Is there anything I can add to make it more appealing to her?

You can try mixing the hand feed with mushed up pellets or a very little of pureed veg. Please be aware that very ill and painful piggies often can't eat or process much food and that some wigglers are quite difficult to find a counter to. It is going to easier once they feel a bit better in themselves. Any little bit you get in during a crisis is good, but sometimes there is not a lot you CAN get in!

At first, our Dougal gobbled it down but then stopped taken it in. I then tried mushed up pellets and he took that in, so I combined them and he seems to be getting on with this method :)
