Is there something to worry about? Or is he just lazy?

Snowball seems not himself lately. All he does all day is sit in his bed. He hardly ever comes out for food, whilst Cookie is out quite a lot. Due to Snowball not moving out of his bed much he now has urine scald on his feet, they're very red and the skin looks like it's peeling. His had this for a while now and were debating whether to take him to the vets this week or not. As i'm wondering whether his not moving out of his bed much because there sore to walk on? Although when i touch them he doesn't seem to be bothered.

Is he just very lazy (as his deaf so he can't hear what's going on) or should we take him to the vets just to make sure his not in discomfort?

i think i would pop him along to the vets, how old is he? we have an elderly pig who sleeps a lot, but unlike snowball he does come out for food, his feet sound like they could do with being looked at x

His 2 years old. I give him a treat in the morning (in his bed) feed him at night and make him come out for food, he stays out for a while but then just goes back to bed. It's since they've been moved into a new hutch too. x

I would take him to the vets just to get him checked over and rule out something life threatening with him being the way he is, guinea pigs don't show symptoms of being poorly until sometimes its too late so any little change in your guinea pigs behaviour/eating habits etc should be checked out asap by a vet x

We will take him. Doubt it's life threatening as he is still eating (even eating Cookie's leftovers!), drinking, pooping etc. I think his just sneaking the food down:(|) I've seen him at his worst before when he had a URI and his definitely not like that! His behaviour is normal, his dopey self, i'm thinking his clued to his bed because its a new bed area and it's much bigger than his old one so he wants to keep warm. But we'll take him to get checked out.x
