I'm not an expert but it does look to me like it could be ringworm. A vet check is needed to confirm this and get treatment if it is.

Is there hair loss there? To me it looks more fungal, and as if she has been scratching at it and making it bleed. Definitely worth a vet check to confirm, one way or another, what it is.

I’m afraid you need a trip to see the vet for diagnosis and treatment but it fits look like you’ve been sold a piggy with a fungal infection. As this is within 14 days of purchase you have consumer rights and the store will have to help you with the costs of treatment. But first things first you need a vet to diagnose it.

Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures
I’m giving you the link in our ringworm guide for you as ringworm is contagious to humans so you need to take precautions to protect yourself in case it is.
Please let us know hours you get on

Hi and welcome

Please have your guinea pig vet checked for ringworm (the most aggressive and contagious form of a fungal skin infection) and reclaim the vet cost from the pet shop. It is within your customer rights as you have been sold highly infective damaged ware. Please follow our hygiene tips, get a vet grade disinfectant and do not home treat on spec with creams that cannot prevent further outbreaks - that is false economy. Don't let yourself be fobbed off by the pet shop and if necessary report them to the local council over trading standards. The shop must be well aware that they have a ringworm problem!
Please always treat the companion according to our information in the hygiene guide in order to prevent and outbreak in them and also follow the tips re. human hygiene to prevent any infectious outbreak in yourself or transmitting it further to other people or pets. The time between infection and acute outbreak is 10-14 days. Ringworm spores are tiny, are shed in their thousands and can stay infective for up to 2 years; that why doing the job right once and for all is so important.
