Is this a sign of gastrointestinal tract problems?

This came out of my male guinea pig but it’s weird cause they never look like this and they are both acting perfectly fine popcorning eating drinking this is very sudden but does any one know what it could be because of? I recently got them these treats from wild harvest and rosewood but I haven’t been giving them that many once a day for the wild harvest and it says u can give them 5 a day for the rosewood Timothy hay apple filled cushions if I have to go to the vet I will I just want to make sure it’s something I need to worry about

I have two male guinea pigs and they have been doing so well popcorning and eating and drinking however today i looked at a poop which I’ll attach to this but I started looking up mucous in poop because that’s what it looks like and gut stasis was the first thing that popped up I need some advice on how to handle this or if I’m maybe just over exaggerating?

That is not normal. I would take your piggy to the vet for some advice. Take the picture too to show your vet as that may help the diagnosis.

You have already got a thread open about this which I have just answered. You really need to keep to 1 thread per topic as then you don't miss answers and it can get very confusing. Can a mod please merge these threads? @VickiA, @sport_billy, @Lady Kelly thanks.

@Betsy I’m sorry about the thread I tried to edit the other one but I couldn’t so I just made a new one and okay I’ll take him to the vet I think it’s our chubbier Guinea pig

That's OK you don't need to apologise. I'm sure one of the mods will merge the 2 together when they log on. Its early morning here in the UK.

It had already been done by an early riser :)) then I went back to bed.

@Noellechardon it looks like the poop is starting to go runny. I would stop veggies until 24 hours after they return to normal. You could also provide probiotics to help the gut. If improvement doesn't happen pretty quickly then pop them to the vet for a check up

Hi!

Please take your piggies ofd any fresh veg for a day or two to stabilise the guts and check the water bottle (including nozzle).
Jelly can be an indication of dehydration. Offer water by syringe if necessary but do NOT force any down. Whatever the problem is, it is still on the mild side. You can add a pinch of probiotic to the water you offer by syringe.
Switch from weighing onc weekly to once daily at the same time.

See a vet if the poos don't normalise within 24-48 hours, if you are dealing with diarrhea (i.e. runny poo) or if your piggies lose more than 50g (30-40g is the normal weight swing over the course of a day depending on how full/empty bledder and tummy are).
