My mom said yes about the piggies YAY! but my sister is now telling me that she probably wont be moving out til like, a year and a half, and i cannot wait that long for piggies!

The only other place they could go is in the garage, but its quite cold in there, and thats where my parents smoke, I'm worried the smoke would be bad for them, i think it will be, but worth a shot for asking, i dont know how i will be able to wait a year and a half - atleast! Our garage has like two sections, the first section where they smoke, and then second which is colder and has alot of junk in so there not able to go in there to be honest, they could go outside - but tbh theres alot of foxes around my place, and plus i reckon my dog and cat would bother them more outside then inside where they both know people are around.

What do you think? I dont think its suitable but..
And also - i wont be getting them for like 9 months, and it would only be tempory* as soon as my sister moves out we'd all move in :D And, it would make sure i definetley got the room because my other sister and brother want it too!

I doubt it, I would imagine second hand smoke will have a similar effect on their little lungs as it does on a human which is clogging them up with tar and other nasty chemicals and probably make them even more susceptible to illness. I would be wary with the outside as well if you are likely to have foxes, we have foxes in our area which is the main reason our girls are indoor piggies

your sister still has plenty of time for moving out then, I would take it as it comes and see what the situation is like in 9 months time, you might find that she's moved out already or you could convince mum and dad not to smoke :)) but good luck on that front

my dad made a deal with me if i passed my drivig test first time he would quit! i did and a month later he quit 3 and a half years later he still hasnt had one even with his dad dying :) mum on the other hand wont.

could you not have them in your room now?

you can be an aunt to my lot if want :)

Ah, poor thing you may have to wait until its the right time. 8...

However, why don't you see if there is a local rescue near you that could perhaps do with some help? That would help you learn more about these little fur babies, help the rescue (they are always in need of helpers) and when the time is right, you'd be in the right place to select one rolleyes

Good Luck!

My room is a box room, its tiny, i cant even have my hamster in here never mind guinea pigs! :(

I'd love to be an aunt ;)

And I'm going to try and do my work experience at a rescue centre, but i doubt they'd take on a just (well tomorrow;)) 14 year old. And i wouldn't have time to get buses and what not, i do irish dancing 4 times a week and school, homework, i would love to you know :( shame.

thats fair enough.

i have eight so plenty to love :))
