Well its not really a rack as such:

I have a normal metal hay rack but haven't used it since I heard about a poor piggy dying because of one. The boys have hay in various places in their hutch, run and our lounge but I want to give them something else to play with. I just wanted to find out other peoples opinions before I bought it.

This is an alternative but I would prefer something that is off the floor:

It's ok, but they won't be able to get the hay out that easily. How about a fleecy hay bag?

It depends on the size of the holes, some are made the wrong size. The holes either need to be so small they can't get their head in or large so they can get in and back out again. Mine have been known to climb right in and out the top.

I've just changed over to hay bags too. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the piggies seem to like them. I bought them from 'Snoozie's Cozies' on Facebook.

My boys have a little shopping trolley type thing made out of wood with their hay in it.

I have it laying on its side now though as Matthew kept pulling the hay into his eye. It does the job well for me. =)

That's cute - is it freestanding and where did you get it from?

I have a c&c grid bent in half to make a hay trough. Big enough for them to get the hay out but overhead and not big enough for them to get their heads stuck :) works a treat. 2014-09-20 21.25.06.webp 2014-09-20 21.25.30.webp

I've had various hay racks over time and in the end decided the safest thing is containers on the floor. To give them variety I just change the types of containers.
