image.jpg Hey guys! So I just bought a new food for my little pigs and I was wondering if it was safe.. The normal food I get is Oxbow which is a really good one! This food is Mazuri Timothy Based Guinea Pig Diet.

Here are the ingredients!

Hey :)
I'm pretty sure oxbow has more fibre and less calcium than the Mazuri one.
So, oxbow cavy cuisine is probably better, but it still looks like a good food to me! :)

Personally, I would not feed any food that contained molasses.

I'm not sure exactly what to look for either in the ingredients part. I use burgess excel guinea pig pellets. What are the main things to look out for when looking whether they are good or not?

Protein that is not too high, calcium to phosphorous ratios, minimal fillers like soya and grains, and no molasses ideally. I am putting together a sticky about it all at the moment but it will include all pellets even the ones I would not necessarily feed myself.
