So Harvey managed to break a tooth Wed/Thu last week. No signs of weight loss at all but it is quite close to the gum line. Last week, when I discovered it, I thought it was just above the gumline but apparently it wasn't because it doesn't seem to have grown much coming up to a week in. It's a bit brown and gross at the base of the teeth (what I would call tartar but no idea whether that's what it is).

Otherwise he is perfectly well. No wait loss. No obvious pain. So is this just a wait and see or does this need to be seen by our vet?

I would get an appointment if you can, just to came sure there’s no infection. there is a good article on the Guineapig Lynx.com about broken incisors and how they grow back.
