Yes! We used to to that too. Happy childhood memories of playing “down the canal” with all the children from my street. BlissI agree with dock. If we had been stung by a stinging need, my mum used to look around for a dock leaf, pick it, spit on it and rub it on the sting and it used to take the stinging sensation away.
I think that the oxalic acid is much higher once it has flowered but am cautious of oxalic acid in general because it is a bladder irritant and can contribute to bladder problems. I don't feed spinach or beetroot leaves either for the same reason.Thank you all. I thought it may be but wasn’t sure. @Pound Shilling & Pig why do you avoid feeding it? None have flowered yet though.
