Is this lettuce ok?

Rather random question but I sent piggy daddy to asda to buy lettuce for a change as the piggies have already had spinach and coriander this week... are these little gem lettuces, and ok for piggy wigs? They are just labelled "organic lettuce" which isn't helpful! They definitely dont look like iceberg at all... normally we buy bags of mixed leaves that always say what they are but this is mystery lettuce!20190112_143656.webp

:agr: I'm pretty sure it's gem. Went down a treat with the boys, they preferred it to romaine! If it looks like it might be too big for little gem (I can't really tell from the photo) there's also a variety called sweet gem, which ALSO went down a treat with the boys lol.

Whatever the random lettuce was it was a hit with the piggies- they had a lettuce leaf, a slice of red repper and half a slice of apple each for dinner, and the lettuce disappeared before the apple!
 
Sounds like gem lettuce all right! Glad they enjoyed it, the boy used to argue over it all the time :doh:
 
Mine inhale Little Gem lettuce when I give it to them! Mind you they inhale all veg.
