Is This Normal For Guinea Pig?

What a gorgeous little aby chappy. I love aby pigs. They usually have so much character x

Thank you VickiA. Yes, I just found he was actually not that quiet as I thought. Once he saw my little girl Chino, he was extremely excited and kept chasing and trying to mount her (They live in different cages). Lol, he is such a 'man'. :lol!:

I've had quite differing personalities with my pigs but all of the aby/abyx have been a bit nuts. Bumble is pure aby - she pretends to be shy but wheeks with the rest of them, likes to boss the new underpig around but when she's out at laptime will appear timid and won't eat while you're looking at her. Bea aby x (now passed) was a bossy lady so got the nickname Queen Bea, she acted too posh for all that piggy malarky but wheeked the loudest and always looked surprised when she popcorned. Jemima aby x peruvian - she is a right character, I've had her since she was 6 weeks. She's tiny but the boss now, still wheeks so loudly that her ears occasionally flap, she's bossy and forever displaying her dominance. Buddy aby x himi (now passed) - he was a chilled out fella but could demolish cucumber in a comical manner in record time, loved nothing more than doing zoomies for 80% of his day and liked to sleep out in the open (instead of in his hidey) from the very day I got him.

Your Aby/Abyx pigs personalities are really funny, especially Himi. It is such a pity that he has already passed :(. Cannot wait to have my Domino get up and see if he is nuts or not. :lol!:

Such a cute pig! The bald patches are absolutely normal and all piggies have them, although they are more noticeable on some pigs than others. Even skinnies have a patch of softer and visibly different skin behind their ears. I see the little bump, but as it doesn't look inflamed, I think I would probably keep an eye on it for a bit before seeing a vet. I wonder if it's not a bug bite or minor scratch that has scabbed up a big. If it enlarges or looks inflamed I would go in, but I would probably first give it some time to resolve on its own. Hope this helps!

My skinny Thumbelina has that too, is not as obvious on Tabitha or Katie, and I didn't notice it on Phoebe either.

Thanks Freela. Sorry about the late reply. I think you were right, it was just a small lump. A good news is that the small lump has gone away and my boy is still living happily and healthily. :lol!:
