I have a 5 month old boy guinea pig and yesterday I got another boy who is 6-7 months they seem to not fight but the younger one chases the older one doing in circles and they are both always complaining and rumble strutting is this normal

Yes it all sounds normal. The older piggy is at a point where they have a hormone surge, so he may be rumble strutting and chasing a lot. Is the young pig squeaking at all? That’s a sign of submissiveness and accepting other pig has the power, so to speak.

Did you introduce on neutral ground and thoroughly clean the cage before putting them back? Also, boys need more space so at minimum their cage should be 150cm x 60cm. I’ll link some threads below for you to have a look at.

Thank you so much the younger one has been squeaking to and I did introduce them in a new place that neither if the piggies had been in before and before I put them back in the cage I cleaned it very well changed all the toys and blankets that were on the floor and also put new toys for them

The squeaking is submission. Just make sure they have enough space. And hopefully they’ll make it through both their teenage months.

Ok thanks they seem to like each other a lot more and are together more now I think they just needed some some to get to know each other

Good news. Just be aware that cuddling may not always happen, even if they get on like a house on fire.

I’ve also just noticed that they are copying each other is this a stage of them bonding or is this just a coincidence

I have a 5 month old piggy and I recently got a new 6 month old piggy they haven’t been fighting or anything a few times where they have got a bit angry with each other but they have recently just started copying each other a lot is it a stage of bonding and getting to know each other or just a coincidence?

That sounds like normal behaviour.
Guinea pigs do learn from each other.
Enjoy watching them interacting with each other
