After a few bad days, where i thought she was reverting back to pretreatment, I saw her for the first time drinking from the water bottle today. Several times.
I haven't really seen her drink out of that for months. Now, she's behaving normal, just 24 hours after threatening to go down hill major. I honestly thought after struggling for three days to get the gripe water into her, that we were coming to the end of this battle, and she'd had enough.
Her mouth has just been full of liquid food, and poop on and off since Sat. She's not been dribbling though, or suffered weightloss with this like before. I've had to bath her twice this weekend, she's been so dirty, and until today, her poop has ever been none existent or tear drop shape, or mush. Now they're normal, and she's eating normally too. Like nothing has happened. What's changed?
Has what ever ailed her finally left her system? Was this a result of her fighting some infection in a battle she's finally winning?
I've just had a poop almost the size of Boar poop in my hand. Perfectly formed, and big even for her.
She's barely been able to look at me for days, today she licked me for the first time in a week. She looks happy again. Boy this has been a really bumpy ride!
The only change i've made is I put her back on shavings for two weeks, to get rid of any bags I had left, and put her back on recycled bedding yesterday, which she hated ( gone back upstairs back into the house which is on fleece). So I think she may be allergic to mould spores, as warm and damp bedding from pee seems to create it, so regular muck outs is the key I think.
So, after 12 weeks, how come she's suddenly talking to the water bottle again? It's like she was never ill? She's going for a check up tomo, as I want her throat looking at properly.

I'm so glad she has turned a corner. Sometimes they just get themselves better. It sounds like you've got a handle on how to prevent any further issues. Relax and enjoy your piggie!
