is this ok for my babies?

my guinea's love this and they've all been looking really shiny, happy and healthy on it :) sometimes I mix in a little bit of dried herbs and a pinch of readigrass for a treat too.
 
My piggies love this best of all the pellets that I have offered them so far. They occasionally get the museli mix (Wagg or something similar) but I mix it with the pellets. I have given them the "ordinary" burgess, but they aren't desperately keen. I have also bought the new burgess cube things, which they love, and pull to bits, but it's screechingly expensive so they get one box a month cos I'm mean as a treat.

Other things they like are hay cookies (have a look on Amazon - they have deals on these) which are also useful if I am travelling, supplying a pet sitter or have OH in charge sometimes - as his idea of a generous handful and mine are a bit different. The piggies love these to pick at as well.

In short, I find that variety is the spice of a piggies life...
 
Right that's what they'll be having then! So what else do i need? Alfalfa hay? And veggies is that it? They'll be 4-5 weeks :)
 
Oh i saw them cubes too! I've gotta remember to spoil my husky as well as guinea pig's and kids! Lol at the moment it's all guinea's.. Bad mum ha ha. Cubes will have to wait lol will look for them hay cookies tho thanks katie
 
Hay, hay and more hay. I get mine online from the hay experts, but there are other online places that many forum users use. Some people get hay from farm shops but I guess that's a question of both storage and availability.

That's what i'm getting food wise, i may not be able to get any hay though so may have to be chaff mixed with their feed.
I've heard some people say mix the alfalfa hay with meadow/timothy but i don't see the point of that for a few months
Bet you can't wait, I certainly can't lol drool
 
It's alfalfa hay isn't it? I'll look on line then. May get it from same site, done then lol

lol i can't wait because i want them now! But i can wait because i'm not ready lol! Am buzzin tho, going to see them tomorrow :)
