I keep a pretty good amount of timithy hay in his cage with him at all times.. Is that ok to do?

His name is Buddy... Hes such a cute lil fella lol.. But such a begger, He sees me get up in morning he is up on his ramp whining for food and If i dont feed him quick enough he runs around in his cage yapping.
