So we have some salad left over from our tea the other night and I was just wondering if it's ok to give the piggies? It contains baby parsley, baby coriander and chives?
 
So long as there are no dressings or anything on it then yes they will love it! x
 
Yes you can feed those but not the chives :)
And as long as there wasn't any dressing on it of course ;)
 
I never thought of the chives.... hmmm isn't that part of the garlic family or am i just not awake yet?

On second thoughts, hold off until someone else reply's to say yes for definite. xx
 
just checked, chives are a no no- part of the onion/bulb family.
The other bits are fine tho :)
 
I would remove the chives as I'm pretty sure Guinea Pigs can't have them.
 
Don't think I'll give them any of it as I don't know which leaves are the chives so I can't take them out :/ haha !
 
The chives are the thin, straight tube-like leaves. A few won't hurt as long as they are not part of a regular diet; you will find that the piggies are not all that fond of them anyway.

Ah ok thanks! Will have look and see if I can tell which are the chives, if not then they won't be getting it! :))
