So while at the pet shop pigmas shopping i seen two females there was sign on there cage saying they were abandoned. I asked the pet shop worker what there story was he said when he was going to work to open the shop they were both there with there cage just left there for anybody nobody knows how long they were left for. He said they are two females ages unknown and there free to a good home as they are adults and really nobody wants to adults. I'm wondering would i be able to keep my two males in the same room as two females or would they fight they would have seperate cages and i would not breed them. I feel so bad for these two piggies and one of them cane up to the side of the cage when i bent down near it and kept running under my hand and licking it all she wanted was a bit of love it will take alot of convincing to get my mam on board but i need to know could they all stay in the same room
 
Aww poor things :( Yes, it would be possible IF the cages are far away from each other or you stacked the boar cage on top of the sow cage so the boars couldn't smell the sows @Wiebke has pairs of boars in her piggy room along with sows. I think her boar pairs are above the sows.
 
I asked the same question a while back and was told that it is possible but that there needs to be some distance between them or a solid divider so the boys can’t see the girls. If you were to stack cages, the girls would have to be at the bottom. But As I understand it, if the boys have never been around girls, then just smelling girls in the air can cause issues so a solid divider may not be enough.
There are plenty who keep boys and girls in the same room but I came to the conclusion that I personally wouldn’t want to risk the boys bond by having ladies around.
You would also need to consider - boys can be very determined when there are girls around and there is always the risk of accidents ie a break out on the boys part and gain access to the girls - probably more of a risk with an unlidded c&c rather than a commercial cage though.
 
I had boy pigs and girl pigs for quite a few years. I had them in a home made cc grid bunk bed type situation
The boys were on top and remained clueless that the girls existed. Just make sure you handle the females after the males so their scent isn’t on the boys stuff.
 
I have my two boys in the same room as two sets of females. The cages are close by and doesn't cause any problems! Hope this helps! Hope they find a good home. I don't understand how anyone could do that. 😥.
