Is This Relatable To Anyone?

Haha, Yes! I've bought organic purely for the tops! Have since discovered that my dad only ever buys carrots with tops, so I just get them from him and save a bit of money!

A few times the checkout person has said "Wow, you're really healthy" as I'm loading the pig veg onto the checkout.

My reply is "erm, this is for my guinea pigs" and then start loading my beer, sweets, chocolate and crisps.

"Oh" is usually their reply.

once at the market I made a poor figure when I saw a stall selling carrots with the tops; I asked the seller for them and he was about to tear off the tops when I screamt "NOOOOOO!!" and the people in queue stared at me astonished! The seller was astonished too of course and I said "ehm, sorry, but I need those tops... ehhehe!" and an old lady: "how do you cook them?":))
Then I explained that they were good for feeding my "rabbits" (wasted time to talk at the market about guinea pigs, as nobody knows them) and the seller gave me for free a bag of carrots tops!:D
Once at home my piggies ate only some string and then they stopped being interested...:(

Haha! I buy boxes of pee pads at Costco (I put them on the fleece in some parts of the cage where Cali pees a lot as they prevent it from smelling) and cashiers always ask me if I have a puppy! I always say they're for my guinea pig. Once some guy though I used them for actual pigs! I actually can't imagine that...

Yep I buy up large on veg from the mark down section as it's usually still fresh looking with a occasional mark on it I cut off but peoplelook at me with pity because they think I can't afford decent veg lol. It's still fresh enough for me to eat (and i'm pretty fussy about what my food looks like) so fresh enough for the piggies.
