This is my piggy, Snoopy.
I've had her for almost 4 years and In the last year or two I saw she had a sort of "white lining" on the outer portion of her eye, I don't know how old she is since I got her at a pet store.

I keep her and another piggy in a c&c cage and feed them vegetables (and sometimes fruit, but not often) three times a day and they have never been sick a day in their life, they're very energetic and happy so I really doubt this is a serious issue.

I actually thought it was cataract because maybe she was getting old, but I thought cataract is generally more cloudy and usually in the MIDDLE of the eye.

Anyone know what this might be? do I have anything to worry about?

Is it just the white part of her eye? This is more prominent in some piggies than others. But if it has only suddenly become noticeable have you noticed if the eye is slightly more bulging than normal?

If you're unsure or worried a vet visit is always a good idea if only to put your mind at rest.

It wasn't sudden it's just that I haven't checked what it was for a while, the eye doesn't seem to be puffy at all.
other than that I don't see any other unusual things about her eye.

Hi!

If in doubt have her vet checked in case it is a mild conjunctivitis. Alternatively her tear duct could be narrowed or a bit clogged. In this case, you have to live with it.

I would recommend to have your piggies checked once or twice yearly in the coming years as they come up to being officially classed as older citizens.
