Hi all, just wanted to introduce my new baby sow, Lima....so named, because we thought she looked like a lemur with her black mask-like face. She's living with our 'special' sow Darklis, who was being picked on and isolated in her existing group.

Darklis and Lima seem to be getting on well......but Lima is a bit of a 'squealer' so pretty much every time Darklis tries to move her around, Lima shreiks at the top of her lungs for absolutely no reason, there's been no rumbling, no mounting and no aggression whatsoever. I've seen them snuggling though, and they eat together very happily, so I think Lima's just a bit of a drama queen! :))

Wow, I wish I had your memory! :)) Well, Maisie went home in excellent health, I tried to convince her owner that she needed a friend, and she was adamant that she really couldn't have another piggie.....:(......I subtly suggested that if ever she felt that she couldn't keep Maisie, or if she did turn out to be pregnant and she couldn't cope with the possible complications, then my door was always open and there was always a place for Maisie with my little herd.

We parted on excellent terms; her owner has already booked Maisie back in to board in November and January (yay, I get my lovely Maisie back!), and she's even recommended me to her friends and family!

Thank you everyone; she's got the lovely Aby character to go with the good looks!

I'd love to be able to get a pic of her face-on, so you can see her face markings - she's so unusual, her face is so dark, it's almost like a mask, you can barely see her eyes sometimes!

:(|) Some things just stay in my head - my OH is amazed how I can remember random stuff ?/
Must be a requirement my piggies requested in their slave like 'don't forget our veggies, hay, clean beds etc...' ;)

Fingers and toes crossed that she and Darklis will continue to get along - initial signs are good. Like I say, there's a fair old bit of squeaking from Lima, but I think she's just making her feelings known / having a temper tantrum, she certainly doesn't seem to be scared of Darklis. I think Lima will be the dominant in that relationship :))

Darklis is a very pretty girl but she's a bit camera shy, bless her! As soon as i get the camera out, she scoots off and hides! So, it was great to get such a nice clear pigture of her today.

Believe me, I have resist the urge to snuggle with her all day long......sometimes i have to force myself to put her down and do something else rolleyes
