I use 2.5-5ml syringes though, I have access to amply supply of them, I work in nursing home

thanks Tommies Mam ill order that size then.
Thanks Lindsay, the site ws recommened by members on here so I'm hoping it will be ok. I cant get a smaller size of the critical care that i can see either. If anyone knows any smaller or better ones let me know?

Looks all good to me Chez. 2.5ml-5ml syringes are what I use.

Is flea stuff needed? Not sure on that one. As never needed it. Thanks for mail. Just up to my eyes here in dishes and dinner so will reply later. x

the flea stuff i was told to have handy? and to do every 6 months or so. The new boys have never been done so thought would be good idea. Does anyone else use them?

Only ever had to use Xeno 450 on Murphy when he got mites, he is the only one out of my six that has needed it. Never had a flea problem. I'm not sure that i would put it on them if they are ok and free from mites etc.

I was told that piggies don't get fleas, so I must say I never treated them for it. I did treat them with Xeno 450 every month for mites.

We got that from the vets for Mites. It works very well. I only use it when Murphy gets Mites as he has had them twice now. I dont think they need to be treated every month as they usually get them when they are either ill or stressed. Murphy had them when he came to me and got them again after Romey which id say was stress related.:(

pigs shouldn't need regular treatment to prevent mites. You just need to treat them if they show signs of mites. If you've already bought the xeno don't worry, just keep it for those times you think they might have them. Bear in mind that xeno does have a shelf life, so can't be kept forever

Xeno 450 product is the best one for treatment/prevention of lice and mites in guinea pigs and very easy to administer. Vetuk has about the best price on the net and is reliable.

Thistle Rescue has smaller Oxbow CC packets which I would get instead of the larger packs. The money helps the rescue too. CC is a great standby to have and probably considered the best one on the market and the one most used by rescues.

I would get a mix of 1ml and 2 ml syringes so that you can use what suits you. To syringe feed you will have to cut off the end of the syringe for the CC anyway. I use the 1ml.

Here's the link http://thistlecavies.tripod.com/shop/id1.html for the CC

I prefer 1ml syringes personally - yes you have to refill them a lot but they're much easier for the pigs and work well I've found.
