I looked on Guinealynx for a minute, but I'm not really sure what to search for. I looked down at roger and he was opening and closing his mouth over and over, but opened really wide. I know pigs can't vomit, but if they could it would be that motion. He wasn't making noise. I tried to look in his mouth, but I didn't really see much. Just a fluke, or beginning of dental issues?

I've seen Sprite do that when he was a few months old. It was right after he ate a carrot. It's usually when something gets stuck. He did it because he had too much food in his mouth.

It is a possibility but could also be he had a bit of food stuck like others have said. Has he done it again? does his breath smell at all? is he drooling or pawing at his mouth?

When he did it he wasn't eating at the time. I'll have a closer look later and see if I can get a better assessment of his mouth.

It is more likely that he has got something stuck in his mouth; mine have been doing this in that context. It can be a bit of food stuck between teeth or wrapped around the base of the tongue.

If you notice a rotten smelling breath or drooling, then there is something more serious going on.

Ive seen both my boys do this and it has been when they have food stuck. I could hear a slopping noise and looked paniking..could not see anything but then after Edgar stopped a bit of carrot fell out.

I have seen this also in my older two, they always manage to dislodge the food themselves- you would think it would make them slow down when eating
but no chance they still gobble it down as if its their last meal!

Two of my greedy piggies do this when they are struggling to scoff all the food before the other can get to it and some gets stuck. They have never needed any help, from me, but it has scared me at times.
