Is this treat ok or no no?

Guinea pigs shouldn't have anything containing seeds, as they can get stuck in their teeth and cause problems.
And although honey is probably ok occasionally, it is usually better to avoid things that contain it.

I buy mine the bags of dried forage mix. U can get dandelion, plantain and clover and a variety of other things. I put a large handful in with their hay mixed in once a week and they love it!

Oh that’s a great idea! Thank you! I’ve seen some in Asda. 😊👍🏻

I really want to go into p@h and give them a piece of my mind! They’ve given me some really bad advice on these new Guineas Pigs. Luckily, I did my research!

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find any rescue piggies close by so technically I rescued them from p@h. It pains me that I’ve bought from there. If only I knew then what I know now :mal::mal::mal:

I always planned on getting two piggies but I rescued my first one from the adoption centre in pets at home. He had been put up for rehoming because he didn't get on with the other pigs in his previous home which is evident from his scar above and under one of his eyes. Pets at home told me he must not be rehomed with another pig. Several months later I got him a friend and I have had no issues whatsoever.

Aww that’s lovely! Glad he’s found a friend 😊

It just makes you wonder how many other pigs have been sold and will never have another pig friend because of the advice they were given

It shows too much additives.
My piggies just get natural veggies, herbs, hay, fruit, and pallets, which are made of hay.

My pigs get the dry forage dandelion hay from Wilkos a small amount in their tunnel and a little bit of dry forage on top of their hay rack. Xx

I never buy treats as such - and at this time of year there is so much you can forage for them. Mine are currently getting dandelion stalks (since the flowers have now gone to seed, they loved the flowers) strawberry leaves and stalks, plantain and, of course, fresh grass. They've actually started turning up their noses at pellets, which I only give by hand.
