Hi everyone,
I decided to purchase a Guineadad liner with a burrowing pocket to see want they were like and what my girls thought of it too. My problem is they will not go in the pocket .I have tried putting hay in there, a tunnel so it stay up no luck. Any ideas please or do you have the same problem. The over all liner itself i am very happy with.

Give them time. Everything new to a piggie is a potential threat. That's what being a prey animal is all about - being cautious of new stuff. When I first introduced a log tunnel to my piggies thought it was going to eat them! It just takes one brave piggie to investigate and learn that it'll not eat them and the others will follow. How long have you had this liner?

Hi,
I know what you mean and thank you but i have been tried it for a few months. One did poke her head in slightly but all they do is poo on top of the pocket

I made some lovely fleece snuggle sacks and my two absolutely refuse to do anything other than poop on them. Not once have they ever attempted to go inside....in over a year....!

Last winter I bought a Rosewood fake fur lined bed and tunnel that looked lovely and warm and some forum members highly recommended... not one pig would go near them at all! They are very fussy, I have bought a fair few hideys they will squash flat or ignore and not venture into even if its freezing! Daft diva piggies

Just goes to show, they are like children - we can spend all we like on lovely items and they are happier to play with the cardboard box it came in!
At first I thought dexter wouldnt go in them because they weren’t manly enough for him, but then I realised it was probably more likely because he didn’t want it to mess up his hair!

I have a variety of fleece pouches and tunnels.
Jemimah and Priscilla love to curl up in them.
Phoebe only likes to occasionally.
Micah will only sit on top - if there’s another pig inside it’s much more fun

Thank you, I am glad I am not alone. I also bought a lovely soft tunnel and I am lucky if it lasts half a day before they have flattened it and laying on it. But I did buy some cuddle beds and made some snuggle sacks and they love them.

Nah it's all good, every piggy is unique..we have bought a hammock type of thing, that can be used as a pouch hidey..we are just happy it is getting used, for a pig poo station
