Is This Veg Safe?

I found a site that names veg and fruit for piggies but not sure about some that are not listed i.e. PURPLE broccili and BLACK kale?
 
I would assume they are safe as they are just different varieties of them.
 
I was wondering the same when I went to my local Morrisons recently - they had black (capsicum) peppers. Has anyone heard of these?
 
Purple broccoli is fine, feed as you would other leafy greens (what we think of as green broccoli is actually calabrese) same goes for the black kale.

If the black capsicum is a bell pepper and looks purple then it's okay too - the purple ones are sweeter than green (although have green flesh). You can always try it yourself if you're concerned it may be spicy!

This is good to read, the OH brought me a funky veg kit for christmas that has purple carrots and red brussels etc in
 
Thanks all I got the veg at my local farmers market , the farmer was great he gave me a bag with a little bit of purple broccili , black kale, and chard for next to nothing and hopefully there won't be so much food waste as buying bags of each at supermarket is resulting in a lot of waste.

My husband and I eat the veg that is surplus to our piggies' requirements so, effectively, we're eating their leftovers! We definitely get our 5 a day now we have piggies.
 
I saw a programme on TV recently & they said that purple carrots were the norm till about the 17th century when they started to cross breed them to get orange carrots which looked better.
