Adult Guinea Pig
Hi i just got my new piggie Jessie yesterday. Seeing as she cam from a pet shop she probably didn't have much veg so have started her today with little bits together.
For her tea time i have mixed ina bowl of:
Tiny piece of shredded spring greens
piece of cucumber chopped into 2 pieces
2 small circles of carrot
1/2 a coli flower floret
1/2 a broccali floret
1 small piece of kiwi
and 2 tiny square pieces of honey dew melon.
So far she has eating both bits of melon so looks like a hit with her ;D
She also gets a hand full of mix in the morning whci i will start changing her gradually on a pellet as i noticed she picks out the flakes and leaves the rest :
She also has an unlimited supply of good quality hay stacked in toilet tubes which she enjoys playng with.
Is this an ok diet, and should i start increasing her veg more. Is the veg i gave her tonight good vit C as i did read they don't supply it themselves. Just making sure i do everything right as not to upset her stomach. If theres any other type of veg and fruit i can try her with please to tell
