I just bought some 'Burns Meadow Mix for Rabbits' and its contains dandelion, chicory, plantain, mint, chamomile, marigold, nettle, birch tree leaf and willow bark and it was 50% so i grabbed it, stupidly without looking at the best before date. Anyway i looked at it wen i got home and realised the best before date is September last year! So i was wondering can the guinea pigs still eat it and not get ill or anything.

I would think that as it is all dried plants, then it should be okay to give it to them. But then a year is a long time.
To be on the safe side; "If in doubt, throw it out."

Ah okay, yeah that's what I thought :) hmm, ill see if anyone else says anything but if not then ill just chuck it :) thanks

If it smells fine (as in it's not musty or mouldy) then it'll be safe but it will have lost a lot of its nutritional value.
