Isnt tame any more :(

I have had my guinea pigs chip and dale for nearly a year now (24th feb)
But my guinea pigs used be really tamed, but now dale isnt tame anymore i see them every day, cuddle them, stroke them every day. But now dale just runs away, sometimes when i stroke chip and dale is besids he just runs away into the igloo .

Why is this ?

He could be ill, if he is in pain then it can change there behaviour

Have they been frightened by something? Usually, the underpiggy will take its clues from the top piggy.

Check for mites; guinea pigs don't like being touched when their skin is itchy and painful.

no nothing is wrong with dales skin he lets me touch him now and then but not all the times, i dont no if he is frightend of chip, because they have been arguing/fighting a lot, like chasing each other round the cage that sort of fighting

Maybe given they way they have been acting together he's just feeling a wee bit skittish.

I personally wouldn't worry - I have had some of mine now for over 2 years and sometimes they will be fine with me picking up, but then other times it like "ah she's coming to get me" and will run away from me and I see them a few times a day as they live in our bedroom and always get handled every week.

Have you tried talking to them and then approaching them?
They just see this huge person coming toward them...I'd be pretty scared, too! :o
I find that if I talk to my boys and then approach them, they don't tend to run away. They sometimes jump back but they normally know it's me and just carrying on doing their thing.
