Since January I have had two bladder stone removal ops, two eye ulcers, a blinding hay poke and a thyroid tumour.
Last night? ANOTHER hay poke and the resulting ulcer means that Chester may well lose the eye.
So while the piggies are living a life of luxury, getting all the best vet care and veg avaliable, I'm back to student living of beans on toast. At this rate for the rest of my life.
The things we do for these little fluff monsters!

Am sorry you are having such a bad run. If it helps I am in a similar situation, it's one illness after another at the moment plus 3 with ongoing issues too. I hope Chester doesn't lose his eye.

It is what it is- I knew that having so many meant things like this could happen, so I guess I was lucky that it's taken this long!

So sorry. Hope that Chester recovers well and keeps his sight. You are just having a real run of bad luck with your piggies, like many of us have had this year. Beans on toast is healthy and nutritious. I'm enjoying them, too, since the vets bills have cleaned me out this year!
