hi all i went it to one of my local pet shops today just for a mooch around realy and i know it realy isnt advised to keep piggies and bunns together there was 2 piggies with a bun and 1 piggie was cuddled up to the bun and the bun was grooming the piggie it was just sooo cute ^)x)

Aww. Sometimes, there is a little loop in the system and rabbits and piggles get on quite well.
Sadly though it isnt safe, as even the calmest of buns might hurt the little piggle by accident, as they are quite strong and have strong hind legs with large feet which can cause fatal or serious damage to the piggle even by accident
Plus theres the risks of cross infections and they both need separate sources of dried food. Its such a shame that this misconception is so common.

I wish I could keep my bunny with my guineas....but I know he's too big and strong for them and if he did decide to have a whizz round the cage (which he does quite alot) then they'd probably get seriously hurt.

Over here the pet shops often put the rabbits and guineas together and will even tell customers that they can buy one or several of each and cage them together.
Such a dangerous thing to do in my opinion.

At my local pet shop the rabbits and guinea pigs are kept together. The piggies constantly lay on the bunnies backs, they groom one another and play together, it is really quite sweet...Obviously it's not advised though for many reasons.
