Hi guys,

Just wondering if the pre-washed and packed italian herb mix would be okay to share with the piggies?!
It includes apollo lettuce, red multileaf, lollo rosso, spinach and rocket leaves with parsley and coriandor.

Also how much can I feed them as they haven't had spinach and the different kinds of lettuce before? Do I have to wash it or is the washing the company has done sufficient? Thank you. x

Those ingredients are all fine for them to eat. I wouldn't over do it if they've not had them before just a small amount each to start with. I feed straight from the bag but use it up with in 2 days as it's past it's best then. Lucky piggies having a gourmet dinner!

Have given my pig fancy lettuce mix before, it's his favourite. Haven't tried his with many fresh herbs though, he had some fresh basil and gave his super fresh breath! As long as it's not iceberg it should be OK. There's probably a few threads about the dangers of iceberg.

Our piggies always have the bagged salads and love the various ones I buy - anything with iceberg is a no go as it is mainly water and can upset tummies.
Try your piggies with Romaine lettuce, Tesco have an offer on atm, 2 for £1 and they are massive :) Again, our piggies love these.
Most bagged salads are pre washed.

One of mine has problems with spinach. But that's only because he has a urinary tract problem. Unless you see little piles of grit where they have peed, it's probably okay.
