I've had Alfie 3 weeks tomorrow, when we first got him he was on just normal sawdust and he wasn't itching!
I cleaned him out and put him on lavender sawdust and he started itching so on Sunday I decided to put him on Carefresh and he's still itching but not as much!
Ive looked in his fur and can't see anything!
Can anyone give me any help!?
Do you think he needs a bath!?

It can be the perfume in the sawdust (whoever invented that has something to answer for), but it may not be that.

Mites are not visible to the naked eye. They start out as increased itching. They can make an apprearance whenever a piggy's immune system is lowered from stress or illness. A new home comes under the first category.

other option could be to wash him and then put him back on normal shavings, might be that he doesn't like something in the bedding - I know that some people have had problems with the lavender shavings.
