ithink i made just the right decision

about bringing danny and dodger indoors

they seem perfectly happy and are obviously getting used to us very quickly

they used to run and hide when we went near the hutch-now they will sit and eat in their cage or play while we are sitting right near them talking in normal voices.

i have just opened up the cage ready to put them in their run and dodger stayed still and let me stroke him while he was in the cage! thisis a total first! then he let me pick him up and we had a little cuddle before he went outside to play. danny still doesn't want to be picked up but he let me hold him and stroke him for a few minutes without protesting.

last night they were being really giddy. they were running around the cage and jumping about and playing with their toys in a way i haven't seen do before.then they would go and sit quietly for a bit and then they would startagain and the whole time they were pottering aboutthey were chatting away to each other .they SEEM happy!

They must be very happy and excited! You will be able to see them and bond with them a lot more, if they are indoors!

I find it so reassuring to know my piggies are indoors. From day one of keeping piggies, I personally hated the idea of them living outdoors, so none of mine have lived outside since they have been with me. It's very comforting!

I personally would love to have them indoors all the time but there is just nowhere permanent that I would be able to put them, my house is that small

YAY I knew you'd feel that way after fretting with them being outside.

I have to say when the foster pigs came indoors they came along so quickly and one of them even stays right there when I put the bowl of food down right next to her.

Plus I wouldn't worry about them banging their heads - if they popcorn in a low place it happens. None of mine are any worse the wear from it and it's an expression of happiness.

Head banging is cool when you are young piggy! Ceiling, walls, each other, you name it, they career into it - on purpose and with relish!
