She's still here ;) and almost weaned off the gripe water :D
Since a bad episode a few weeks before Xmas, and a long term use of metacam, i've got her dose down to once every 36 hours. Her droppings are good, and her brown mouth has almost gone. she maintaining a steady weight, which i'm happy with, it's not where i'd like it to be, but she is an old lady now, and looks good, still has that belly, just lost some muscle tone over her hips which is normal.
I'm now slowly weaning her off the metacam and only using it when I can see her limping a bit (left hind leg) which I put down to arthritis. It's been a good 6 weeks since she last saw a vet, which is a record! I'm due to take her in for a check up, and some more metacam next week.
I think what ever ailed her, has finally lost it's grip, and her digestion system and throat have healed.

Looking back, we've been fighting this battle since May/June last year after it became apparent something was very wrong, that's over 7 months of syringing gripe water twice a day! She's currently tucking into breakfast and her usual feisty self :)

Well done to you! I can relate to the 7 months of meds.. I'm 8 hourly for one pig and 12 hourly for the other! But its worth it seeing them feel so much better. Way to go bonbon! Xx
