... since I've been on here. I lost my last piggy a couple of weeks ago and am missing her. It's been a week or so of ups and downs, having decided before I had to take her to the vets to be PTS, that I wouldn't have any more, but guess what, I can't do it. I've been looking all over the internet, at rescues for a pair of short haired sows, emailed some, phoned some and left messages, but maybe they don't have what I'm looking for, as nobody seems to reply. I thought it would be so easy to find a couple of new piggies too! I did find a gorgeous girl at the RSPCA, but only a single girlie, and when I asked if they'd bond her with another single girl, they said no, not unless it was from them! So I eventually found a place about half an hour away, who has sows, and I'm going to look tomorrow. It felt odd setting up the cage tonight ... I hope she has a pair that I fall in love with, going to be so disappointed if I come home empty handed.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but I am glad you have come back. A couple of girlies will be lucky to have you as mum :)

Thank you. Well I've got two new gorgeous girls, too soon for pics yet, but if I can work out how to do that in a few days I will :) Meanwhile Maisie and Alice are settling into their new home - Maisie is about 3 and Alice about 18 months, but she is the more skittish of the two. Alice only arrived in the rescue a couple of weeks ago, so poor thing has had her life turned upside down a lot recently! She's found the logs and hasn't moved in 3 hours, so it's going to take her longer to feel more comfortable - I don't think she's been handled much either. Maisie seems a lot more confident, is mooching around making her little exploring sounds, bless her and she's eaten some hay too! Neither have found the water bottles or food yet though.

I'm so sorry for your loss, had she been ill for long.
Welcome back to piggy ownership again. When they are all settled lots of pics please.
I love the names.

She'd been quite ill for a while, but it was manageable with meds. Bladder issues and cystic ovaries :( but she lived to just over 7, so did pretty well. Nice to be back, although feeling strangely nervous about having 2 new piggies that I don't know at all!
