Just been outside to put the pigs snuggle safe heat pads in the hutches for the first time this winter and it's sleeting! I sleep much better knowing that they are toasty warm in their hutches!

Sleet and hail here in Hampshire.guineas all tucked up with heater in shed. Bubble wrap on the windows tomorrow! Here we go again!

Thought it was, we heard it against the windows but couldn't be bothered to get up and look. Bodes well for Letchworth light switch on tomorrow then.

36 degrees hear in liverpool, just swiched the pig ruoom heating up a notch :san:

Yeah it had a little snow here, I didn't wake up until 10am so most of the sun has melted it away, but I certainly don't like this 2 degrees outside

Hope everyone's piggies have adjusted to the sudden drop this week. xx

Snow and -2 on the M6 in Cumbria, have my hat and gloves on but cant feel my nose in the cold wind! :(

Piggies and us nice and warm inside, although they are wheeking at me for not giving them breakfast yet and it's almost lunchtime! Lazy Saturday morning!

Mine are warm and snug in our dining room. I think they noticed the change in temp overnight when the heating went off as they were reusing to come out of their cosies this morning.

Well in typical fashion our boiler has gone again so little point in bringing any of them indoors, they are all snuggly anyway with heat pads, boxes of hay, hay tunnels with fleece over them...it's always comforting to hear fellow pigsters looking after their furballs nicely.

The girls are in their shed, heat pads warmed up and hay filled hideys tonight.

It's blooming freezing here. We had a little snow this morning but that's been it.

My piggies are currently taking it in turns for a snuggle in bed with me :-)

I've put the second switch down on the heater so my 5 will be toasty tonight. ;)

We had our Christmas light switch on in town tonight and walked there and back. Was nice and warm and toasty in my new coat though and my bobble hat. When we got home the pigs were all snug. I am on mega alert with Katie at the moment as she drops weight drastically when the temperature drops, the other skinnies don't as much. She's tucked up in her cozy surrounded by hay and with a warm bowl of critical care.

All bubble wrapped in terms of windows. Feel for you Helen, my last remaining heart pig does not do well in the fluctuating temps. I think it's more humidity change? Even though shed heating is consistent she still struggles. Anyway, they r very cozy and warm tonight, just checked and she is all curled up with her husboar!

I think you could be right there. Am glad she is seems ok tonight. The other heart pigs seem ok, but I think skinny and heart pig is a difficult combo plus I think both her and Phoebe were very badly bred, the other 2 skinnies seem so much more robust.

Yes I am glad I have my snuggle safe pads. The thermometer in the shed reads 0 degrees tonight. they have had the snuggle safes this morning and now I am re-heating them now. I wasn't sure that they were actually using them but I have just been out to get them and they were sitting on top of them. I am now pleased that they will be a bit warmer this winter than last winter. I just wish my shed had some electric in it so I could get them a heater.

I've been worried about my two, there inside pigs, but at night when the heating is off, it does get freezing in the house! I cover them front and back so I'm hoping that will keep some heat in.

Getting our roof done soon too! which i'm really worried the temperature is going to drop significantly! Getting some more pigloo's so I can have a pigloo in constantly. What do people think of snuggle pads? Do they last all night? or do they get cold a few hours later?

Well I heated mine up at 2pm and then went out to get them at 10:30 this evening and they still had some warmth in them. They were obviously quite a bit cooler but I was surprised that they were still warm.

They do last quite long. The instructions on mine say 6 mins for a 800w microwave so I put them in a little bit longer.

I've started putting them in at 5pm when I get home from work and warm them up again around 1030 so they have them all evening and through the coldest part of the night. Might start doing them in the morning before work too .

Oh! That's quiet good! I wouldn't have thought they lasted that long! Might have to invest in some then, there on sale on Amazon apparently :) I saw in a black Friday thread on here.

Thanks everyone :)
