I feel for you. My bedroom is the same, it gets the sun in the afternoon and the evening. There's no cooling it down anymore, even airing it in the morning makes little difference. So far, I've managed to sleep with a fan on, but it's not a very restful kind of sleeping.
At the office, there are blinds but they're the cheap kind and on the inside, so they don't keep the sun from hitting the windows and the windows are huge. Nice in the winter, not so much in the summer. As it's May, my employer doesn't consider that it's hot yet. Heat related measures, such as distributing water or being allowed to leave half an hour earlier are for July and August, not June or September, no matter how hot it gets.
