Just a suggestion, rather than misting the cages, you could drape damp sheets or thin towels over the cages and point the fans towards them - the damp cloth will cool the air going through them similar to an air-con. Really need a portable AC unit but thanks to the heatwave everywhere is sold out or extorting the prices.
Hubby said tomorrow we might use the freezer packs for the piggies if the aircon can't handle it and we will only stay in the living room and closed all doors. 
We told him it's going to be a heatwave again this week and his ferrets would struggle more. So since yesterday, we were lending him frozen water bottles and our freezer packs to be put in his hutches in the shed (he only has a tiny freezer). But we asked him if he wants a portable aircon so in the long run he doesn't worry about them during heatwaves. He agreed for us to buy one for him and I managed to find a portable aircon from an ebay seller (sold out everywhere!) that cost £250, and also does next day delivery. It's only a 5000btu one and that will be enough to cool his shed. It arrived this morning! So hubby taught him how to use it and such and fingers crossed none of his ferrets die this time. Oh and while we were installing his portable aircon, he said one of the new ferrets he got had 2 surprise babies! 
Well hubby said it's not free and our neighbour would pay for it.
Neighbour was convinced to get an aircon after his ferrets died last heatwave. Anyway, he's always had ferrets ever since we know him. If our garden has a guinea pig grave, his has ferrets grave! 
They're just not staying in their play area near the aircon at the moment as they just wanted to be in their main cage and not walk much. I do think that Bodie (an abby) is more feeling the heat than Carson (a mixed teddy) as he is bigger, fatter and got more hair. Oh ok, well still you managed to arrange finding an air con, which is quite a lucky find considering they're mostly likely sold out everywhereWell hubby said it's not free and our neighbour would pay for it.
Our aircon has been on the whole day and night since Monday. Our piggies are not bothered by the noise. I think they like the noisy house as every time we are out for the day, we notice that they end up sleeping during those quiet times and not eat and move much from their boxes!
Have you tried a slightly damp sheet over your pigs home? It gives a little cool atmosphere.

Before getting an aircon, I figured out a way of making a colder space. It basically involves the use of a frozen bottle of water in a sock, but I found if you place it in a blanketed / insulated hidey it actually cools down the inside area a few degrees. Ideally you want a few bottles in the freezer so you can rotate them out every 6 - 8 hours or so, and even doing so in multiple hideys in an ideal world for more than 1 pig, but then that's a lot of bottles in a freezer!

Hope it helps a little. I would use something solid, like a cardboard box, or something plastic (I use child's foot stalls which they no longer sell), with a blanket or two over it, to make a kind of seal, too keep the cold air in. Basically make a little pig fridge if you can
