Hi all. Today Ive cleaned out my hutches. It's time consuming but worth it for my piggies. I clean them once every two weeks as every chance I get I'll put them in their runs. I spot check their cages everyday as I work 3 days a week doing 12hr shifts. I've just put them back in their hutches as the weather is looking grim. I've also cleaned their bowls and water bottles. Ive also changed the set out of their hutches to. They look so happy. If the piggies are happy I'm happy

One of my girls popcorns as I'm sweeping them out.I did my 120 cage today with heathcliffe in.I was knackered heaving the cage about.Love my c&c cages.Litter trays are a lot easier to clean out. Will be pleased when he goes in his.

I clean my hutches twice a week, they make that much mess, the rabbits hardly make any mess, so it's once a fortnight for their hutch. ;)

Mine are not so bad. Like I said their in their runs when I'm home and i spot check the hutches every night. Plus today's bin day so it all goes straight out. I love hutch cleaning day. Also means I get to check the hutches to see if they need any mentenence fun times

It takes me nearly an hour to do a full clean as it's quite a big hutch!

mine is 8ft wide, 2ft deep and 6ft tall. It's split in 2, rabbits on the left, piggies on the right. ;)

Cool. I'll be getting another double hutch soon so double the work load. I'll be getting rid of the small cage as it's falling apart. Then I'll put all my males into the other cage. Meaning I'll have one double for the girls and one for the boys I can't wait.

My piggy boys are on fleece which we shake off every day and clean twice a week, rabbits have their hutches done twice a week but toilets every day, when they move into the shed I'm wanting to use fleece on the floor so will see how that goes! Its a massive area to use the horse bedding, its 7x5 so I think it would take a couple of hours to clean properly.... will rabbits and fleece work?
