So, yesterday I took the roof off of my inside hutch just to make it a bit more open for the piggies hoping it'll help them to more used to us. I get home from work today to two very excited children, Milly, the more relaxed out of the two piggies, had been letting the kids lean over the edge of the hutch to stroke her. Brilliant I thought, I'll have a go at that! I go over to the hutch and they both bolt. The kids go over, lean into the hutch and have a jolly good stroke. I go over again and they bolt again, and so it continues.

It's great, I do everything for them, feed them, water them, change them and the kids get all the piggy adulation :(

:)

where you kneeling or standing when you tried to stroke her? because maybe your kids are smaller and seem less big and towering, but that does seem unfair

Piggies don't like large predators leaning over them.

Please be careful not to let your kids handle the piggies unsupervised.

:( I'm sorry you're feeling like it's not fair.

I'm sure they'll get used to you too, your kids might have been standing there all day. x

:(|)

It was meant to be a light hearted post, I'm well aware of all of the above :))

N'awww that's just pants :)) You should crawl up to them on your hands and knees, works with mine ... just hope the neighbours can't see me through the window rolleyes:))

The wife's at it now, that's really annoying now, she thinks she's won. Hands and knees it is.

i am sure you will get there its the same here i do everything yet i cant even pick my piggies up for a cuddle they wont let me hubby can pick them up though i have to get him to get me piggies to cuddle at night. O and i spend all day looking after the kids i do everything lol then when daddy gets home they dont want to know me it's so unfair lol.

Sucsess :(|)

Milly has just come to me for a stroke, only been holding my hand in the run until it was numb :)

Congratulations... watch out for pins and needles when the feeling comes back. Ahh... what we do for the love of our piggies. :(|)

My Mum used to always go on about how Fred would chatter and Yawn at her anytime she was in the room. See the little sod is doing it again, Me: Mum it's in your head he's going for a snooze, it soon transpired he had dental problems, now my mum feeds him extra treats. Turns out he likes her after all :)).. ....

Perhaps unrelated but it is funny, to me anyway rolleyes!

Bless them, mine do that all the time. My hubby who literally has nothing to do with them can go to the cage and the 3 of them will let him fuss them - I go there ans you don't see their bacsides for dust!
