I must announce BonBon's passing. She died in her sleep in the early hours of this morning after a really sudden decline over several hours.
I am absolutely heartbroken, she is the last of my truly bonded ladies, I don't think i'll ever get the same closeness from Tilly and Truffles. I'm sure pretty soon i'll find the strength to get them a little sibling, must keep them on their toes after all.
 
Oh no. I am so very sorry. BonBon was such a huge forum piggy, so popular on here and such a beautiful lady. I always enjoyed hearing about her antics and seeing her photos. I am so very sorry. Massive hugs x x

It's been a very long haul, trying to get her better, but I guess it was never meant to be. All she wanted last night, was to be cuddled, she almost got onto my shoulders, with her failing strength, just to snuggle close to my neck. She didn't shut down as such, she was still alert, and aware of me saying her name, to the point she would move herself to see me.
I went to bed about 2, and when I woke up at quarter to 5, she was gone. She'd gone across the cage to be near the other two, and had just gone to sleep. She must have passed about an hour or so after I fell asleep. So quickly.

I've just sent her on her way to be cremated. She'll be scattered in the same patch as her sisters Treacle and Humbug, unfortunately I didn't do the same with Liquorice, but there's a guinea pig ornament to remind me of her and a painting .
 
R.I.P. BonBon. She was beautiful. May she live forever in the hearts of those she touched. :(

Have a safe journey over the Rainbow Bridge.
