After spending £30 at the vets this morning for some repeat medications, £30 on hay and another £30 on some pellets and goodies for the girls on zooplus.. I knew i'd already spent enough! I couldnt help eyeing up snuggle sacks online as iv always loved them, but knew i couldnt afford to buy any.. So i tried to make one to see how i went!

Done not too bad, considering i had to teach myself to sew before i started making it!

£1 sew kit and a £1.99 fleece..

Not too shabby! I made it double thickness, with a slit on the underside so i can slip a square of puppy pad in between the two bottom layers for extra absorbance. Fudge loves it! Will be great for the chilly weather at the countryside next week!

It's amazing especially for your first one, it's not wonky or anything.

Love it, and it doesn't look like it's your first one at all! I think it's really well made.

Very well made! Especially being your first one? Would you have a pattern or video or something that you followed?

What do you use to keep them open? I was thinking about a large cable tie

It stays open without anything added into the opening- i made it double thickness which means the rolls are even thicker, which hold it open :-)

You can see one side is a little wonky but its not horrific! Heres hoping it stays together in the wash!

I watched a video last week on youtube and remembered the steps- its actually very easy! Was too busy watching vids about how to sew last night to watch the snuggle sack one again haha.

I love the idea of the little slit to shove a puppy pad between the layers!

They're great for your first attempts! I've just got the hang of using my sewing machine so want to attempt one soon :)
