Well ive collected the 3 babies and have sexed them. Theres 2 boars and 1 sow. there around 6 weeks old (if not older) so ive had to put the sow on her own.
1st question is they all weigh about 300g is this a good weight?
2nd question is should i put the sow in with Meg and Squirrel as shes on her own?

I'm hoping to bond 1 or both the boars with lincoln so they in the kitchen with him (in separate cage).

any advice would be great.

(will take photos when they have settled)

Hi

Did you need help sexing them or are you confident they are 2 boars and 1 sow?
I would try to bond her with one of your sows, as she will be lonely on her own.

300g sound a good weight to me, bet they are so cute.
What breed/colours are they?

i dont know how to determine breeds. There all different colours. so goregeous. Its actaully quite obvious with these to tell the sx. I tried taking pics but they wouldnt come out right. Ill try again later. My sows are together so should i bond her with them both? What do i do? wait till she settles 1st?

Yeah the sexes are pretty obvious at 6 weeks old.

I would let her settle in tonight and then introduce her to your sows tomorrow in a run or open space.
Are you sows quite friendly accepting of newbies?

Oh good luck with them, hopefully she'll appeal to the girls maternal instincts and they'll take her under their wings so to speak.

Well done on rescuing these three.
But wait! Before you introduce the sow to Meg and Squirrel, you need to be sure she's healthy. I suggest quarantining her for a few days and treating her for lice and mites if you haven't already. I'd hate for your two gorgeous girls to pick anything up.

New piggies should really be quarantined for 3 weeks before they are introduced to exisiting piggies - the exception being rescue pigs who have been in foster/rescue for a period prior to adoption as obviously the rescue/fosterer would have noticed any signs of ill health.

When the quarantine is up there is no reason not to try bonding with exisiting girls. Meg and Squirrel were bonded by Beks and both were very accepting of each other so I'm sure they would be fine with a newbie.

Quarantine ideally means kept totally apart from your existing pigs and washing hands etc between the 2 sets of pigs. In an ideal world it means seperate rooms etc but this can be very hard in reality.

A bath is a good idea but not if they are very tiny and I would only use mite treatment etc if they show signs of mites.

And be careful because most mite treatments cant be used until they are 3 months old, i had this problem but luckily i only had to wait a few days before they were 3 months. Gorgeous guines do a mite product called aloe melt which can be used on piggies under 3 months or if they're pregnant. Ive bought one but never used it.
