Things have been very tense for several weeks. Dudley will be 6 months old in around a week.

Harry has always been quite a chilled piggie and he is nearly 2.

I moved them into a 6 by 2 c&c a few weeks ago.

Last night they ended up as a ball of fur together. They settled down overnight.

Today things got bad again. Lots of teeth chattering. Harry ran away from Dudley but Dudley followed and backed him into a corner and they became a fur ball again.

I have divided the cage into 2. I never wanted it to come to this I feel so sad. I feel really bad for Harry i thought getting him a friend after losing his pal was the right thing. There has clearly been a squabble previously as Harry as got a couple of what i assume are tiny teeth marks which have healed.

Dudley will just not leave him alone. I don't know whether it will be a permanent or temporary split but I feel awful for them

How about having them both done then after 6 weeks put a girlie for each one. They'll love you for ever. Don't put all 4 together though, or they will even more.

I don't know what to do. I do know that I will sleep better tonight thought without the constant worry.

You’ve made a decision you can live with. That’s all that matters. For now, they have company, interaction but no threat so they are fine. You don’t need to rush into deciding anything. Just leave them for now. And let your nerves recover.

At least they are side by side and not living completely on there own. I have done well to stick it out this long.

I think I will try with a reintro Sunday.

Others may disagree, but I wouldn’t attempt another reintroduction. Once you’ve made the decision to separate boars because of aggression it’s unlikely to work in future as in reality nothing has changed between them except that they will be starting all over again in the hierarchy stage.

Dudley is like a little convict desperate to get to the other side of the cage.

I feel awful

That’s often the way. One is desperate to get back to the other (often the trouble maker in my experience) and the other is delighted to be left alone. I’d say Harry looks pleased with his new set up.

I agree with Vicki I wouldn't try putting them together again now. They look like a pair who can't live together, can't live without, in my opinion they are much better living side by side with interaction through the bars. I might reconsider trying them together again in a year or so when Dudley is past his worst hormone stages, you may find things a bit calmer then. I am no expert though so many may disagree with me!

Spot on. Dudley is chewing the bars, climbing the bars!
Is a 2by3 each big enough for them

Ive had same problem, ive split the cage in two,ive two boars on one side and another boar the other, the single boar has managed to climb over the grids and cause mayhem! ive had to put him in a spare hutch in the shed alone.until i can extend the c and c cage ,but they have had deep bite marks so i will not be attempting to rebond.i will get him neutered to go with a sow !you have done the correct decision ! in my experience once they have had a furball fight that is the end of that relationship, ive had alot of boar pairs end up like this.i neuter all my boars then it gives me alot of other options, and no unplanned babies ! good luck,it is nerve racking and sometimes disheartening if you really wanted just a pair.

I know I just feel awful. There was no bite wounds. Harry definitely has an old scar. Look like tiny teeth marks or scratches. They are very small.

They teeth chatter so much. Previous to boys I had girls and never once heard them chatter

20180304_201424.webp please mamma take this horrible divide down. We want to be friends again

The boys are still split. We did get them out for lap time and they snuggled up together . Dudley has had a major growth spurt.

I want to try a reintroduction but my bf doesn't
