I managed to train my boar Skittle to wheek or go to my shoulder if i had him out when he needed a pee.
Totally forgot about these two little girls not having a clue, had them on my bed for a bit of hide and seek/explore time and now my back is soaked :(|)

Has anyone else ever managed to train little things like 'i need to pee now!' or similar?

Wow. How do you train a guinea pig to tell you that? :o

My boys have only peed on me once and that was when they were still quite new. Since then I've never been peed on and rarely pooped on.

I remember my first cuddles Hazel and Hector... wee puddles and poos were a regular occurance!
I found with Hector, I used to keep a hand underneath his belly when I held him.On the first sign of damp, he went into his litter tray near by. I would leave him until I guessed he was done. Depending on the time they had been out, they would either go back to their hutch or stay on my lap.
With my piggies, I think it was nervousness. I use a fleecey cozy for their cuddles on the sofa, and they love it!
Good luck, hopefully they will grow out of it :)

Mine USUALLY when they're about to pee will wiggle their bottoms and move backwards (as if to go into a corner) and then I'll know its time to put them away.

Ha ha that sounds so familiar. Peronel and Amelia Jane will nibble me when they need to wee but Amina has no sign at all. She was never handled which is the problem. How can you train them to let you know?

I wish I could train mine! Saffy wee'd on me twice last night, End time after I'd just changed my PJ's :(|)

yes piggy diapers !

Its our village scarecow weekend and this kind lady offered me her spare bale of straw she didnt use so off i went into her garden with her as she told me she had 2 piggys - of course i asked for a cuddle ( dont we all! )

She got these 2 chunky boys out 1 rex and the other crested and i had a good cuddle & was talking away then looked and one was pooing on me !

Dirty piggy !

( Il get my 'revenge' - as I'm going back soon as ive offered to bath them for her :)

Willow doesn't like to pee outside her cage. When I have her out and she needs to go, she wiggles uncomfortably and I put her back in the cage. I wish she'd do that when she needs to poo too!

I have posted this before but when Misty has been sitting on OH's lap she has, on more than one occasion, backed off his lap onto mine, pee'd on me and then got back onto his :( :))

Do you think she is a daddy's girl?! Storm on the other hand was very much a mummy's girl and when being given meds and being held by OH would quite deliberately wee/poo on him!

x

Wow!
Haha, I don't really know how i trained him as such, it was a progressive thing because we lived in a student flat without a garden, so he'd have heaps of floor time (wooden floors, massive rooms, absolute blessing) and kitchen/sofa time quite a lot.
If he were on the sofa or being handled, initially as a baby he'd make a really faint sort of wheek/chut if he needed to pee, but not knowing why he was doing it, i'd sit there chatting away and he'd just pee :))

So gradually over a few weeks when he'd get louder when he needed to pee, i'd flail, arms outstretched until eventually he'd really shout, and when he'd raise the roof i'd put him in the crook of my neck/shoulder and walk him to his cage.

So by 4 months if he made that certain little noise and i ignored him he'd pace if i wasn't sat down, and if i were he would run and sit on my shoulder! Tada =D

that would be a very good thing to teach them, dylan peed on my other half last night so he passed him to me and he only went and peed on me aswell dirty little boy :)) think he was most impressed as went back in with his friend strutting his stuff.
